| Obverse description | Laureate head of Asclepius facing right, depicted with his characteristic long beard and serene divine countenance. The Greek legend ΕΠΙΔΑΥΡΟΥ curves around the field, identifying the issuing city of Epidaurus, the primary cult center of the healing god. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily patinated, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |
