| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, rendered in the Roman provincial style with finely detailed drapery across the shoulder. The effigy is portrayed with characteristic Antonine-period coiffure. The encircling legend reads ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹϹΤΗ (sic), the double sigma in ϹΕΒΑϹϹΤΗ being a noted orthographic variant. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with the legend distributed around the periphery. |
