Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, depicted from behind in three-quarter rear view, a presentation typical of certain provincial bronze issues of the period. The radiate crown, composed of pointed rays, frames the imperial effigy and denotes his senior co-regnal status. The Latin legend encircles the bust within the coin's border, partially worn on this heavily patinated example. The surfaces exhibit a dark green and reddish-brown patina consistent with long burial, with moderate encrustation obscuring some fine detail.
