| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped and cuirassed bust of Saloninus, bare-headed, facing right and seen from behind, with the legend ϹΑΛΩ ΟΥΑΛΕΡ partially visible in the field. The youthful effigy is rendered in a provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The drapery and cuirass are suggested by shallow relief characteristic of hammered provincial bronze issues. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus standing left in the field, his nude figure rendered in a striding pose, extending a patera in his raised right hand and holding a long sceptre vertically in his left. An eagle stands to the left of the deity, facing right, a standard attribute of Zeus in Bithynian civic iconography. The ethnic legend ΤΙΑΝΩΝ appears in the right field, identifying the issuing city of Tium. The overall style is consistent with provincial hammered bronze coinage of the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus. |
