Reverse description Apollo depicted nude, standing facing right in a dynamic pose, his right arm extended upward and to the rear as he draws an arrow from a quiver at his shoulder, while his left arm holds a bow. The figure is rendered in a classical Hellenistic style, with the body in slight contrapposto. A Greek civic legend encircles the type within a dotted border, identifying the issuing city of Synaus and the local magistrate Metrophanes.
