Reverse description An elephant advancing to the right, rendered in high relief with careful attention to the animal's bulk and musculature, typical of Alexandrian provincial bronzes celebrating exotic fauna. The regnal year inscription appears in the upper field above the elephant. The exergue is plain, and the flan shows characteristic irregular edges consistent with hammered provincial coinage of the period.
