| Obverse description | Laureate head of the Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic features with a wreath of laurel leaves crowning the head. The surrounding field carries a Greek legend naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination of an Egyptian bronze issue. |
