Obverse description Bare head of Geta as Caesar facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the Severan period. The youthful, unadorned portrait is shown in profile with fine facial features. The surrounding Greek legend identifies the subject as Lucius Septimius Geta Caesar. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronzes of the early 3rd century AD.
