Obverse description Bare-headed portrait bust of the Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Lydian mint at Mastaura. The emperor's youthful features are depicted with characteristic fleshy neck and rounded jaw. The encircling Greek legend ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ runs along the outer field.

Reverse description A draped goddess stands facing, her body depicted frontally in a hieratic pose. She holds a patera in her outstretched right hand and a long torch in her left hand, attributes consistent with a chthonic or civic deity venerated at Mastaura. The ethnic legend ΜΑΣΤΑΥΡΕΙΤΩΝ is distributed in the fields to either side of the figure.
