Hadrianeia was a city in Mysia founded by Hadrian himself, likely during his tour of the eastern provinces around 123–124 AD, and named in his honor — one of several self-named foundations he established across Asia Minor. Municipal bronze coinage from this city is scarce across all reigns, and issues attributable specifically to the co-regency period of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus are particularly thin on the ground.
