| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare head of Lucius Verus facing right, depicted without laurel wreath or diadem, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Pontic civic coinage. The portrait is set within the coin field with the abbreviated Greek imperial titulature arranged around the periphery. The flan is irregular and the die work, though worn, reflects the local engraving tradition of Amastris. The legend reads ΚΑΙ ΛΟΥΚΙϹ(sic) ΟΥ, a misspelled rendering of the emperor's title, consistent with known provincial die-cutter errors at this mint. |
