| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Diadumenianus as Caesar facing right, depicted from the rear in a three-quarter view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The youthful effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the early third century AD. The encircling Greek legend names the Caesar in full, distributed around the field. The flan is slightly irregular, with natural casting porosity consistent with provincial bronze issues of this period. |
