| 正面描述 | Confronted busts: laureate head of Emperor Hadrian facing left, jugate with the draped bust of Empress Sabina facing right, wearing a double stephane. The pairing of the imperial couple is rendered in the typical provincial idiom of Asia Minor, with both effigies sharing the same field. The obverse legend encircles the busts, identifying both rulers. |

Germe was a minor Mysian city whose civic coinage under Hadrian reflects the broader administrative reorganization of the Pergamene conventus — the Roman judicial district centered on Pergamum through which provincial affairs were filtered. Small bronze issues like this one circulated hyperlocally, rarely traveling beyond the immediate territory, which partly explains why surviving examples are often found in consistent mid-grade condition rather than heavily worn.
The ethnic ΓΕΡΜΗΝΩΝ confirms civic rather than imperial authorization for the issue.
