| Beschrijving keerzijde | Homonoia, the personification of civic concord, depicted standing in full figure facing left, clad in a long chiton and himation. She extends her right hand forward holding a patera over an altar, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia, symbols of prosperity and harmonious relations between cities. The Greek legend ΠΕΡΙΝΘΙΩΝ ΔΙϹ ΝΕΩ surrounds the figure, proclaiming Perinthus as twice neocorate, indicating the city held the prestigious honour of maintaining two imperial cult temples. The reverse type reflects the civic pride and religious status of Perinthus as a leading metropolis of Thrace during the reign of Gordian III. |
