| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Arabian civic coinage. The obverse legend, partially visible around the bust, reads ΑΥΤ ΚΕϹΑΡ ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟ, identifying the emperor by his adopted name Antoninus. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical for struck provincial bronzes of this period. |
