Reverse description Pluto and Kore (Persephone) depicted standing or seated in a quadriga drawn by four horses galloping to the right. The composition references the myth of the Rape of Persephone, a subject of particular local significance given Nysa's proximity to the Ploutonion sanctuary at nearby Acharaka. The two divine figures are rendered in energetic motion, with the horses portrayed in full stride. The ethnic legend ΝΥϹΑΕΩΝ arches around the design in the field.
