Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Domitian facing left, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of late first-century Egyptian coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly delineated with individual leaves radiating from the brow. A Greek legend encircles the bust, reading from left to right around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic broad-faced iconography associated with Domitianic portraiture in the eastern provinces.
