Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Thessalian civic coinage. A six-pointed star appears in the lower right field. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΑ ΘΕϹϹΑΛΟΙ, distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the effigy as honoring Domitian Caesar on behalf of the Thessalians.

Reverse description Draped bust of Domitia Augusta facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed in the fashionable Flavian style with curls massed above the forehead. The portrait is rendered in competent provincial workmanship, with drapery visible at the truncation of the bust. The encircling legend ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ identifies the subject as Domitia Augusta, wife of Domitian.
