| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Thessalian civic coinage. A six-pointed star appears in the lower right field. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΑ ΘΕϹϹΑΛΟΙ, distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the effigy as honoring Domitian Caesar on behalf of the Thessalians. |
