Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, with the circumferential Greek legend reading ΤΙ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟΣ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ arranged around the portrait. The engraving, though somewhat crude in execution, conveys the characteristic portrait features associated with Claudius.
