Obverse description Bare-headed and draped bust of Nero as a youth facing right, portrayed with characteristic rounded features and short hair rendered in the early Neronian style. The effigy is set within a plain field, with the circular Greek legend disposed around the periphery. The portrait reflects the conventional provincial die-cutting tradition of Phrygia under the Julio-Claudian dynasty.
