| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the conventional Julio-Claudian portrait style with fine linear detail. The legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Sebastos, the Greek equivalent of Augustus) is disposed around the portrait in the field. The bust is truncated at the neck, and the overall workmanship reflects the provincial die-cutting tradition of Phrygia. |
