Reverse description Full-length figure of Hermes standing facing left, nude, with chlamys draped over the left arm. In his extended right hand he holds a purse, and in his left hand he bears a caduceus, the twin-serpent staff that is his divine attribute. The figure is rendered in the compact provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic bronzes of the Antonine period. The encircling Greek ethnic legend names the issuing city and its geographic epithet.
