| Reverse description | A herm of the veiled Hermes depicted frontally, standing erect upon a rectangular base, clad in a mantle with arms crossed before the chest in the characteristic hermatic pose. At the lower left, a caduceus — the god's traditional attribute — rests against the base. The composition is centrally placed within the field, with the civic legend disposed around the periphery. The reverse exhibits heavy wear and encrustation consistent with the overall state of preservation of this provincial bronze issue from Nicomedia. |
