| Obverse description | Bare head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in typical provincial style with naturalistic portraiture. The emperor's effigy displays characteristic features including a short beard and wavy hair. A Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The portrait occupies the central field of this irregularly shaped bronze flan, struck with considerable force given the modest diameter. |
