| 背面描述 | A dolphin depicted diving downward, entwined around a trident set vertically in the field. The composition is a classic Alexandrian maritime motif, rendered in compact style suited to the small flan. The regnal date legend in Greek appears in the field, reading L ΕΝΑΤΟΥ, denoting the ninth year of Antoninus Pius's reign. The design occupies the full available field with minimal exergue. |

Year nine of Antoninus Pius's reign — rendered in Alexandria's regnal dating system as L ΕΝΑΤΟΥ — places this issue squarely within one of the most administratively stable periods Egypt experienced under Roman rule. The Alexandrian mint operated on its own closed currency system, meaning provincial bronze of this type could not circulate outside Egypt and was never intended to. Coins entering that system stayed there.
