| Obverse description | Youthful bare head of the eponymous hero Abydos facing right, rendered in a provincial Greek style with naturalistic curling hair framing the face. The portrait occupies the central field and is encircled by the ethnic legend ΑΒΥΔΟϹ. The die work is characteristic of the Mysiatic civic bronze coinage struck under the reign of Antoninus Pius. |

| Reverse description | Two confronted bulls' heads placed back to back at the centre of the field, a well-known civic badge of Abydus referencing the city's mythological and commercial identity. The heads are rendered facing outward in opposite directions, with visible horns above. The ethnic legend ΑΒΥΔΗ is inscribed in the lower exergual area beneath the type, within a dotted border visible along the upper periphery. |
