| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, depicted in the provincial Greek style typical of Pergamene civic coinage. The hair is arranged in the characteristic Antonine fashion, swept back and gathered. The circular legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒ runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the empress as Augusta. The flan shows slight irregularity, consistent with hand-hammered provincial production of the mid-second century AD. |
