Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ ΤΡ ΔΕΚΙΟϹ ΑΥΓ ϹΕ, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic style of mid-third century provincial bronze coinage from Bithynia, with relatively high relief modelling of the imperial effigy. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered civic bronzes of this period.
