Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, portrayed from behind with the paludamentum visible over the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the standard provincial style of the mid-third century. The encircling Greek imperial legend reads ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ ΔΕΚΙΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregularly shaped and the surfaces show typical patination of a circulated provincial bronze.
