| Obverse description | Draped bust of Plotina, Augusta and consort of Emperor Trajan, facing right, with her characteristic elaborate coiffure rendered in raised relief. The effigy displays the empress in imperial drapery, with fabric folds visible at the shoulder. The Greek legend ΠΛΩΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ (Plotina Augusta) encircles the bust in the field. The die work is typical of provincial Lydian bronze coinage of the Trajanic period, showing a stylized yet recognizable imperial portrait. |
