Reverse description The personification of Isthmos, the divine embodiment of the Isthmus of Corinth, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left. The figure is shown full-length holding a ship's rudder in each outstretched hand, emblematic of Corinth's dual-harbour maritime dominance. The reverse field is largely plain, with the denomination mark S E positioned in the field, the type rendered in the characteristic flat relief of Corinthian provincial coinage of the Tiberian period.
