附加信息	Ephesus retained extraordinary mint activity under Septimius Severus in part because of the city's role as the administrative seat of the conventus — the Roman assize district that made it the judicial and commercial hub of western Asia Minor. Provincial bronzes from this city circulated locally rather than reaching the imperial treasury, funding civic operations and religious festivals rather than legions. V.2#886 is a relatively scarce variety within the Severan Ephesian series.
