| Obverse description | Jugate busts of Rabbel II and Gamilat facing right, rendered in the schematic Nabataean style characteristic of the late first century AD. The portrait convention places the male ruler in front, with the draped bust of the queen consort visible behind. The facial features are summarily executed, with the drapery indicated by incised parallel lines. The flan is irregular, with portions of the design weak at the edges due to the hand-struck technique. |
