Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II Caesar facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view, with youthful portrait features rendered in the provincial style. The obverse legend ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the subject as Philippus Caesar. The strike is somewhat weak on the flan edges, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the mid-third century AD.
