Obverse description Bare laureate head of Nero facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style with naturalistic facial features and finely detailed wreath ties falling behind the neck. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful effigy of Nero as adopted in early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of mid-first century AD provincial bronze production.
