| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic short beard and curly hair. A partially preserved Greek legend surrounds the bust, legible only in part due to the irregular flan and die wear. The field shows a dark olive-brown patina with areas of green encrustation consistent with ancient burial. |
