| Obverse description | Laureate head of Marcus Aurelius, with long beard, facing right. The portrait is rendered in the typical Antonine provincial style, with the laureate wreath clearly discernible encircling the imperial head. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy within the field, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΝΤΩΝ, abbreviating the emperor's imperial titulature. |
