| Description du revers | An ornamented trident occupies the central field, depicted upright with a long shaft and three prongs at the head, flanked by decorative lateral projections or cross-bars giving it a highly stylised, symmetrical appearance. The reverse is framed by a dotted border running around the inner edge of the flan. The civic ethnic legend ΜΥΛΑϹΕΩΝ is distributed around the trident in the field. The trident is a traditional symbol of maritime and civic identity for Mylasa in Caria. |
