| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, draped with paludamentum over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the typical provincial Roman style, with the laurel wreath clearly distinguishable atop the imperial portrait. The legend ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ is arranged around the bust in Greek characters. The overall style reflects the local Epirot die-cutting tradition of the early second century AD. |
