Obverse description Draped bust of Domitia Augusta facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled in the fashionable Flavian style with long tresses falling to the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in fine provincial relief typical of the Smyrnaean mint. The Greek legend ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΑ encircles the portrait within a beaded border, identifying the empress consort of Domitian.
