The figure extends her right arm forward, apparently holding an apple or similar round object, an attribute commonly associated with Aphrodite in provincial civic iconography. The reverse legend in Greek encircles the type, identifying the issuing city of Chalcedon. The overall style is consistent with Bithynian provincial bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |
