| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted with a long beard characteristic of his later portraiture. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style, with curling laurel wreath visible atop the head. The encircling legend reads Λ ΑΥ(Ρ) ΚΟΜΟΔΟϹ in Greek characters disposed around the bust. The flan is irregular, as is typical of Ionian provincial bronze coinage of this period. |
