Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the Severan period. The portrait shows the emperor's characteristic features with short curled hair and beard. A Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination consistent with bronze provincial coinage.
