| Obverse description | Laureate head of the Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic short-bearded physiognomy of Severus, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The strike is somewhat irregular, consistent with local municipal production of the Severan period. |
