| Beschrijving keerzijde | Telesphorus, the chthonic deity of recuperation and son of Asclepius, depicted standing facing in a full-length hooded cloak (cucullus), a distinctive iconographic type widely employed on civic bronzes of Bithynia. The diminutive figure occupies the center of the field. The ethnic legend of the issuing city is inscribed around the reverse type. The overall execution is consistent with the modest civic bronze coinage produced at Nicaea under the Severan dynasty. |
