| Obverse description | Laureate or bare-headed bust of an emperor, tentatively attributed to Septimius Severus, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear. The portrait is rendered in a provincial style characteristic of the Mysian mint at Parium. A partial legend runs around the periphery, though the flan's small size and irregular striking have obscured much of the inscription.
