| Obverse description | Draped bust of Agrippina the Younger facing left, rendered in the provincial Julio-Claudian style. The legend ΑΓΡΙΠΠΙΝΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ ('Agrippina Augusta') encircles the effigy, distributed across the left and right fields. The portrait displays the characteristic coiffure associated with Agrippina, with hair drawn back and arranged in waves. The workmanship is typical of the Macedonian provincial mint at Thessalonica under the early reign of Nero. |
