Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Nero facing left, depicted in profile with characteristic Julio-Claudian portraiture. The laurel wreath is rendered with individual leaves visible around the crown of the head. The Greek legend ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ runs in the field to the left of the portrait. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of provincial bronze coinage of the period.
