Obverse description Veiled and draped bust of Demeter facing right, her head crowned with a wreath of grain ears; to the right of the bust, two additional ears of grain stand upright in the field. The legend encircling the obverse identifies the issuing city. The portraiture is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Decapolis and Arabia region under the Antonine dynasty.

Reverse description A wicker basket (kalathos) centrally placed in the field, containing two upright ears of grain; flanking the basket on either side are serpents, their bodies coiling upward in heraldic fashion. The date inscription is arranged in the field. The Ζ in the legend may appear as a reversed Ζ on certain specimens, reflecting provincial die-cutting conventions.
